The ideal accommodations for couples at Cheyenne Mountain Resort are our Deluxe King, Executive King, or Presidential Suite. All three come with plush king-sized beds and a private balcony or patio with outstanding mountain views. You’ll find multiple balconies in our Presidential Suite, which also features a wet bar, a full-sized dining table, a comfortable parlor living area, and in most suites, a fireplace. If you choose an Executive King room, take time to relax in the jetted bathtubs! What could be more romantic than sunbathing on our private beach or relaxing in the adults-only pool and hot tub at the Aquatics Center? During the Summer you can impress your partner by taking out a sailboat on our glassy 35-acre lake. Seasonal boat rentals are included in your stay at Cheyenne Mountain Resort—we also have kayaks and pedal boats. For a little healthy competition, challenge each other to a match of tennis or pickleball, or catch one of our many fitness classes offered every day at our multi-tier workout facility. All these world-class amenities are included in your stay, and we encourage all guests to really take advantage of each!
Our most popular couple’s experiences are at the Alluvia Spa & Wellness Retreat, locally known as one of the best spas in Colorado Springs. There you may book a Couples Massage, or you can try the Escape for Two package, which includes a custom massage, scalp therapy, and foot therapy. Due to Alluvia’s popularity, booking in advance is always recommended as spots fill up fast.
PRO TIP: Show up early so that you can relax in the Sanctuary Room before your treatment. Afterwards, enjoy the sauna located in each locker room.
EXPLORE
Now that you have your home base set, explore all that Colorado Springs has to offer. You can capture the entire Pikes Peak region by embarking on a hot air balloon ride over the Great Plains. If you are traveling with multiple couples, this is the perfect experience for you. Balloon rides fit four to six people, although you can also book a private, two-person flight. This is also a great region to explore together on horseback or, throw on your hiking boots to catch an unforgettable sunrise over the striking red sandstone rock formations at Garden of the Gods.
LOCAL TIP: If you’ve already experienced the breathtaking Garden of the Gods, or if you want to beat the crowds, we recommend that hikers hit up the Red Rocks Open Space Preserve. Here, you will find a similar landscape with year-round trails along canyons and ridges.
Of course, Pikes Peak is a must while you’re in Colorado Springs. You can summit America’s Mountain via the newly renovated Cog Railway, a romantic 3.5 hour round trip journey with views of stunning alpine lakes, wildlife, and miles of mountain wilderness. At the top, share (or don’t share) a couple of Pikes Peak’s famous donuts from the Pikes Peak Summit Visitor Center, made at 14,115 feet.
There are also incredible trails right in our backyard at Cheyenne Mountain State Park. Advanced hikers will love the Dixon trail, which takes you to the top of the mountain and to the site of a 1957 plane crash. Be sure to stop at the archery range at the southeast corner of the park.

Enjoy outdoor fireplaces and alfresco dining at Elevations, located in the main lodge of Cheyenne Mountain Resort. There, you’ll take in panoramic mountain views while enjoying eats— all using locally sourced ingredients—and sips from local Colorado breweries. If you’re looking for a quieter, sit-down option, take a stroll down to Gates Grille, located by the Golf Shop. If the evening is nice, ask the waiter to be seated on the patio where you can enjoy views from our signature Pete Dye Golf Course. We recommend a bottle of wine paired with a decadent dessert, like the molten chocolate cake with amaretto créme-anglaise. Of course, after a day of outdoor adventure, you may prefer a relaxing date night in with room service, which is served until 9pm Sunday-Thursday, and 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
LOCAL TIP: If you’re in town exploring the city and looking for a unique date spot, Colorado Springs has the place. The Rabbit Hole is a subterranean Alice in Wonderland-themed restaurant and bar that will take the senses on a dreamy, mind-bending journey. You’ll take a subway entrance on Kiowa Street that resembles a glass phone booth with a red neon sign. Once inside, you will be immersed in gothic-style decor and surrounded by murals of scenes from the original Alice and Wonderland film. Reservations fill up quickly, so you’ll want to call two weeks in advance.
