Catch The Rocky Mountain Vibe

Rocky Mountain Vibes Baseball

It’s all in the name—the Rocky Mountain Vibes know how to bring that feel-good mountain energy out on the field. For a little family-friendly fun, spend an evening with Colorado Springs’ very own baseball team! After a break in 2020, the Vibes returned this season as members of the Pioneer League, an MLB Partner League. The Vibes, formerly the Helena Brewers, played their first season at UCHealth Park in 2019.

UCHealth Park was rebranded from "Sky Sox Stadium," following the departure of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox in 2018. At 6,531 feet above sea level, UCHealth Park is the highest baseball stadium in North America. Here, you can take in majestic views of Colorado’s Front Range right from your seat as you enjoy an action-packed baseball game.

Vibes mascot

Keep an eye for Toasty, the Vibes’ unconventional marshmallow mascot. Idaho has their potatoes and has Nebraska their corn, but in Colorado, we have our s’mores! Inspired by our roots in camping, Toasty made his debut to the mascot world in 2019, measuring an impressive 71 inches, and weighing in at 284 pounds and 9 ounces (big for a s’more). Be sure to snap a picture with our fire-headed mascot.

This season, the Vibes are participating in Copa de la Diversión, or "Fun Cup." The initiative is designed to celebrate Hispanic and Latino heritage through baseball—our vibrant Latinx community makes up almost a fifth of the population in Colorado Springs. As part of Copa de la Diversión, the team has transformed into Las Lloronas de Montaña Rocosa. They have played this persona throughout the season and will conclude the Copa with ‘La Llorona Thank You Thursday’ on July 29th. The players have been decked out in extra-spooky attire as they channel La Llorona, the famous weeping woman from Hispanic folklore. In this regional tale, she takes the form of a cursed ghost mother who roams the Southwest searching for her lost children.

All in all, there is nothing more American than enjoying a baseball game with a hot dog in one hand and a mitt in the other for the occasional foul ball. The residents of Colorado Springs are committed to supporting the Vibes ‘til the end, so come join us at UCHealth Park.

You can cheer on The Rocky Mountain Vibes now through the end of this season, September 9th. Check out their schedule here.
